The group is formed by art students, who want to deal with the already mentioned subject and to participate in the process leading to the exhibition.

In addition to the individual research on specific topics the group will meet once a week for discussions and movie screenings.

External artists will be invited to talk about their personal position, working situation (residency) and relationship to the two cities.

These lectures can also be  useful information to the students in Bucharest.

The exchange with the Romanian arts students is supposed to happen on a regular base via blog and a mailing list.

Blog and mailing list will be used as a platform of communication and support to the exchange of information.

The Romanian art students will develop their own way of researching independently to us; they also will organize lectures and communicate the information to Vienna.

For the conclusion of the first phase we will make a summary on the previous process in Vienna and discuss about first ideas.

 

 

 

Students from Bucharest will come to Vienna to use their research material and start working on their artistic interpretation.

During their stay lectures will be held by artists and theoreticians who  already had to cope with similar situations in their own residencies.

Lectures and practical work will happen in a space, where later the exhibition on the results will take place. 

 

 

 

The Viennese group will travel to Bucharest for one week to develop and prepare their work for an exhibition. During that time there will be lectures and exhibition visits organized by the Romanian students, similar to the procedure in Vienna.  An individual examination of the urban space should take place.

The lectures and later the exhibition on our own research and the impact of new circumstances (place, new research, impressions etc…)will take place in the Galeria UNA, the university’s gallery.

 

 

 

Participating students will work on a publication to document the project.
